Ensto EV Support will release a windows application that can be used to copy the configuration from one charging station to another stations.

This is useful when doing hot swap of a charging station or controller changes on installed unit.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Get the windows application from Chago Support <Chago.Support@ensto.com>
  2. Unzip the package to a folder on your Windows 7 or newer computer
  3. Connect the USB cable on the old charging station that you wish to download the configuration from.
Remember that on units with two outlets you need to download the configuration from both master (left) and slave(right) controllers if whole unit is replaced with new one.
The cable needs to be connected directly on the controller in question, so basically master slave units you need to connect directly to the master controller by first removing the USB cable between master and slave. The windows application cannot handle configurations for master controller thru a USB connection on slave unit.
  4. Test that you can access the status page of the controller via web browser http://192.168.123.123
  5. If the status page is visible start the windows application by clicking the exe file.
  6. To download master controller configuration click get master configuration button.
  7. If working with double socket units move the USB cable to the other controller and repeat from step 4 and now download slave configuration.
  8. After the download of necessary configuration make the charging station repairs of swap.
  9. On the fixed of shaped charging station connect the USB cable to the controller again.
  10. Check the status as described in section 4 and start the windows application if its not running still as described in section 5.
  11. Now upload the configuration to the controller by clicking upload button for either master or slave configuration, depending what controller the USB is connected to.
  12. Reboot the new charger and check the configuration from the status page.
