There can be situations where there's a need to limit the maximum charging current that EV ca draw from the charger, for example if panel board feeding the charger has 3x25A fuse and the charger is 3x32A.

Step-by-step guide to set the static current limit locally

  1. Login to the Operator page of the Master controller: Connect laptop to the CC1612 controller
  2. Search for Operator Current Limit field
  3. Adjust it to a correct number and click Save & Restart
  4. Login to the Operator page of the Slave controller: Connect laptop to the CC1612 controller
  5. Search for Operator Current Limit field
  6. Adjust it to a correct number and click Save & Restart
  7. Once the charger has booted up, the current limit is in place.


Static charging current limit can also be configured remotely from the back-end. There are OperatorCurrentLimit and OperatorCurrentLimit_2 keys that can be configured to the have the wanted amps value.
